CSIR NET Admit Card 2019 (December Session): National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the CSIR NET 2019 Admit Card in the online mode on November 9. Candidates who have successfully applied for CSIR UGC NET 2019 for the December session will be issued the CSIR NET 2019 admit card. The CSIR NET 2019 hall ticket will only be released on the official website and it will not be personally sent to any candidate through any other means. Thus, candidates need to visit the official website – csirnet.nta.nic.in and enter their Registration Number and Date of Birth/Password for CSIR NET admit card download

Post Matric Scholarship For Minorities Eligibility Details

Rate of ScholarshipAn amount equivalent to Admission and Course/Tuition Fee and Maintenance allowance, subjected to a maximum ceiling. See Instructions for details.
Eligibility Condition
a) Should be the First Year student of
i. Plus Two/ UG/ PG/ Ph.D Course of Higher Secondary School/ College/ Institutes/ University, which is either a Govt/ Aided/Recognised Unaided Institution.
OR
ii. 11th Class/Technical/ Vocational Course of ITI/ITC Centres affiliated to NCVT.
OR
iii. Course, other than those listed in under merit-cum-means scholarship scheme. The names of courses listed under Merit-cum-means scholarship are given in See Instructions for details.
b. Should belong to Minority Community (Muslim/ Christian/ Buddhists/ Sikh/ Zoroastrians or Parsis).
c. Should have secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous Board/ University Examination.

Post-Matric Scholarship Details

Objective

The objective of the scheme is to award scholarships to meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections of minority community so as to provide them better opportunities for higher education increase their rate of attainment in higher education and enhance their employability.

Coverage of the Scheme

The scholarship is to be awarded for studies in India in a government or private higher secondary school/college/university, including such residential institutes of the Government and eligible private institutes selected and notified in a transparent manner by the State Government/Union Territory Administration concerned. It will also cover technical and vocational courses in Industrial Training Institutes/ Industrial Training Centres affiliated with the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) of classes XI and XII level including Polytechnics and other courses (any course of less than one year duration is not covered under this scheme; Certificate courses are also not covered) .

Distribution

Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jain and Zoroastrian s (Parsis) have been notified as minority communities under Section 2 (c) of the National Commission for Minorities Act, 1992. A total of five (05) lakh scholarships are targeted to be distributed as ‘Fresh’ Scholarships, besides, Renewal scholarships. The distribution of scholarship among the States/Union Territories will be made on the basis of population of minorities in the States/Union Territories as per Census 2001 for 2017-18 and as per the population of minorities in the States/Union Territories of Census 2011 for 2018-19 and 2019 - 20.

  • Students belonging to Muslim/ Christian/Sikh/ Buddhist/ Jain / Parsi are eligible
  • Students who have secured 50% and above marks in previous final examination
  • The annual income of his/her parents/guardians from all sources not exceeding Rs. 2 Lakhs
  • Both Day scholar and hostellers are eligible to apply

Mode of Selection

The fixed number of scholarships for minorities is small and limited. Students from BPL families, having the lowest income shall be given preference in the ascending order.
There is no merit list generation for renewal cases. Renewal applicant will get the scholarship if one has obtained 50% in his/her previous year’s examinations (at the same institute and in same course) and his/her application is verified by all authorities (as designated by Ministry of Minority Affairs) and approved by State Governments/UTs.

Introduction

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an examination conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore and the seven Indian Institutes of Technology (at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee) on behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB)-GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.

Qualifying in GATE is a mandatory requirement for seeking admission and/or financial assistance to: (i) Master’s programs and direct Doctoral programs in Engineering/Technology/Architecture and (ii) Doctoral programs in relevant branches of Science, in the institutions supported by the MHRD and other Government agencies. Even in some colleges and institutions, which admit students without MHRD scholarship/assistantship, the GATE qualification is mandatory. Further, many Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) have been using the GATE score in their recruitment process.

The information in this brochure is mainly categorized into Pre-Examination (Eligibility, Application Submission, Examination Centres, etc.), Examination (Pattern, Marks/Score, etc.) and Post-Examination (Answers, Contests, Results, Scorecard, etc.) sections.

About GATE

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is basically an examination on the comprehensive understanding of the candidates in various undergraduate subjects in Engineering/Technology/ Architecture and post-graduate level subjects in Science. GATE 2020 will be conducted for 25 subjects (also referred to as “papers”) and it would be distributed over 1st, 2nd, 8th & 9th of February 2020. The GATE examination centres are spread in different cities across India, as well as, in six cities outside India. The examination would be purely a Computer Based Test (CBT).

The GATE score would reflect the relative performance level of the candidate in a particular subject, which is quantified based on the several years of examination data. Note that the GATE 2020 score is valid for THREE YEARS from the date of announcement of the results.

Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship 2019 – CSSS Scholarship

Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students

The Scheme is in operational since 2008. The objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to the meritorious students having family income of less than Rs.6 lakh per annum, to meet a part of their day-to-day expenses while pursuing higher studies. Annual target is 82000 scholarships per year (41000 for boys and 41000 for girls) which has been divided amongst the State Education Boards based on the State’s population in the age group of 18-25 years. Students who are above 80th percentile of successful candidates in the relevant stream from a particular Board of Examination in class XII and pursuing regular course and not availing benefit of any other scholarships, are eligible to apply under this Scheme. The rate of scholarship is Rs. 10,000/- per annum for the first three years and Rs. 20,000/- per annum for the fourth and fifth year.
The Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students is covered under the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) w.e.f. 1.1.2013 wherein the scholarship is being disbursed directly into the bank account of the beneficiaries.
For receiving scholarship benefit under Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Student an individual shall furnish proof of possession of Aadhaar or undergo Aadhaar authentication by 30.06.2017. Till the time Aadhaar is assigned to the individual following alternatives can be used :-
  1. Aadhaar Enrolment ID slip
  2. Application made for Aadhaar enrolment
  3. Voter identity card
  4. Permanent Account Number
  5. Passport
  6. Driving License
  7. Certificate of identity having photo of such member issued by a Gazetted Officer or a Tehsildar on an official letter head;
  8. Identity Card issued by the college or institute or university
  9. Any other document with photo specified by the State Government.
‘Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students’ has on boarded the National Scholarship portal http://www.scholarships.gov.in/ with effect from 1.8.2015 wherein the Class XII pass out students of academic year 2015 onwards are required to apply online.
Class XII pass out students of academic year 2008 to 2014, are required to obtain the renewal application blank form from the respective State Education Board and submit their renewal application form duly certified from the respective institutions to the effect that the student has secured 60 % marks in the previous exam, has 75 % attendance and not involved in any ragging activities. The certified application form is required to be submitted to his/her respective State Education Board.

Special Scholarship Scheme for Jammu & Kashmir

The Special Scholarship Scheme for Jammu & Kashmir aims at encouraging the youth from Jammu & Kashmir to take advantage of the educational institutions outside the State, which would provide them an opportunity, to interact with their counterpart from the rest of the country, thereby be part of the mainstream. It is envisaged to provide 5000 fresh scholarships every year. There is a provision of inter-changeability of slots among Medical and Engineering stream, subject to the savings accruing from any shortfall in the number of students opting for General Degree courses. Scholarship is provided towards Tuition fee and Maintenance allowance. The rate of scholarship towards tuition fee for General Degree courses is Rs.30,000 per annum, for Engineering course Rs.1.25 lakh per annum and for Medical studies Rs.3.0 lakh per annum. Fixed Maintenance allowance of Rs. 1.0 lakh per annum is provided to all students under the scheme. Inter Ministerial Committee is constituted to oversee the implementation and monitoring of the scheme.
Eligibility criteria
The students of Jammu & Kashmir whose family income is less than Rs.6.0 lakh per annum and have passed class XII from the State and secured admission outside the State in the institutions which are either approved under Section 12 B of the UGC Act or recognized by AICTE or respective regulatory body are eligible to apply for the scheme. The students are required to apply online on the AICTE web portal – http://www.aicte-jk-scholarship-gov.in/
Categories of Students NOT eligible under the scheme are:
  • Students pursing courses through Open Universities.
  • Students availing benefit of other scholarships schemes.
  • Students gaining admission through ‘management quota’.
  • Students pursuing courses, such as Diploma Courses, not leading to award of a Degree.
  • Students pursuing Post Graduate level studies, in any discipline.
  • Students having family income over Rs. 6 lakhs per annum.
  • Students admitted to non 12B of UGC Act and non approved AICTE institutions.
Technology is being used extensively to bring in transparency and accountability of the process. For greater participation of the students, certain initiatives have been taken viz. students had an option, to either go to the institutions allotted through centralised counselling or take admission on their own in institutions which are either approved under 12 B of the UGC Act or approved by AICTE or by the respective regulatory body. Scholarship amount towards maintenance allowance is disbursed directly into the bank account of the students through the Direct Benefit Transfer mode. Ten supernumerary quota and two to three supernumerary quota are created in Engineering and Nursing Colleges respectively. Further, to bring awareness about the scheme, workshops are organised across the state. These initiatives aim to ensure that no deserving students are deprived of the benefits under the scheme.
An Inter-Ministerial Committee (IMC) – on Special Scholarship Scheme for Jammu & Kashmir has been constituted for better and effective implementation and monitoring of this Scheme.

Scheme of Scholarship to students from Non-Hindi Speaking States for Post-Matric Studies in Hindi

The objectives of the Scheme is to encourage the study of Hindi in non-Hindi speaking States and to make available to the State Governments, suitable personnel to man teaching and other posts where knowledge of Hindi is essential.
The Scheme was revised from 2004-05. Under the revised Scheme, 2500 Scholarships are provided to meritorious students studying at Post-Matric to Ph.D level, for recognized fulltime courses of education for study of Hindi as one of the subjects on the basis of the results of “examinations next below” conducted by a Board of Education or a University or a Voluntary Hindi Organisation. The rate of Scholarship ranges from Rs.300/- to 1000/- per month depending upon the course/stage of study. This scheme is implemented through the State Government /UT Administrations.

DU admission 2019 | Delhi University 2019 Application Form: University of Delhi (DU) is all set to start the admission process for UG, PG, and Ph.D./M.Phil. Programs soon for academic session 2019-20. Delhi University will begin the DU UG/PG admission 2019 process for the academic session 2019-20 by releasing DU application form for registration most probably from 15th April 2019. There are two modes of admission for postgraduate courses in all the Departments of Delhi University. One is via merit basis while the other is through entrance examination/interview and group discussion (if necessary)
Steps you need to follow to register for PG admissions:
Step 1: Go to the official website of University of Delhi or click here for direct link
Step 2: . Click on the 'PG Online Registration is now OPEN!!'
Step 3: Follow the necessary steps
The portal will guide you to all imortant informations, dates and student greviences number
Step 4: On the right side of the page, go to the 'Please Login Here' box to register
Step 5: Click on the 'New User Registration' or click here for direct link
Step 6: Fill up all the necessary details
Step 7: Click on 'Register' tab given on the bottom page
The Delhi University advises all applicants seeking admission to read the contents of the Bulletin of Information carefully
Things you need to remember:
  • Applicants are to apply for a seperate Application form for each course
  • Only a single candidate can apply from a registration
Documents needed during registration process:
Passport size photograph, maximum size 50KB and dimensions 100px (min. width) X 130px (min. height)
Scanned Signature, maximum size 50KB and dimensions 140px (min. width) X 60px (min. height)
A valid ID Proof (self attested). It can be any of the following documents: Aadhaar Card / Voter’s Identity Card / PAN Card / Passport / Driving License
Class 10th Certificate as Date of Birth proof, max size 100KB. Caste Certificate, max size 100KB.
