1) Centre for Cellular & Molecular Biology (CCMB), Hyderabad
CSIR-CCMB accepts applications from candidates pursuing M.Sc / M.Pharm/ M.Tech/ B.Pharm/ B.Tech in any branch of Life sciences to undertake research training towards partial fulfillment of their degree.
2) National Institute of Immunology, New Delhi
The Institute provides opportunities for outstanding students to carry out project work under the supervision of the Institute’s scientists towards partial fulfillment of their postgraduate degrees (of at least SIX months’ duration; session I: July-December; session II: January-June)
3) National Centre for Cell Science Complex, Pune
NCCS invites applications from eligible Indian National candidates pursuing M.Sc. and integrated M.Sc./M.Tech degree program (those who have completed at least three years) in any branch of sciences to undertake Project Training as a part of their dissertation work/ course curriculum at this NCCS Pune.
4) National Institute of Animal Biotechnology, Hyderabad
NIAB provides opportunities for outstanding students to carry out project work under the supervision of the Institute’s scientists towards partial fulfillment of their undergraduate/postgraduate degrees (of at least SIX months’ duration; session I: January-June; Session II: July -December).
5) Institute for Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative, Bangalore
The training program at inStem is open to interested and motivated pre-doctoral candidates and usually comprises M.Sc. students between their first and second years. Many students also do their master’s projects here. Engineering and medical students are also encouraged to apply. Applications are accepted all through the year.
6) Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (RGCB), Trivandrum
RGCB permits students at the MSc, Btech, M.Phil and M.Tech levels to carry out dissertation and project work in various disciplines. Projects and dissertations may be for 1 month, 2-3 months, 4-6 months or 7-12 months. A service fee is charged from trainees to cover the costs of the training.
7) CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Biology, Kolkata
Eligible students pursuing P.G. Courses (M.Sc/M.Pharm/MTech) from any recognized Indian University/College in the relevant area may submit their application to be considered for pursuing their training at CSIR-IICB.
8) ICAR- National Research Center on Plant Biotechnology
The project work-training of five to six months will be offered to students doing M.Sc/ M.Tech in Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics or Life Science disciplines, and B.Tech (Biotech/Bioinformatics) degree programmes.
The training aims at providing an opportunity for carrying out research in Plant Biotechnology and Genomics. Application in the prescribed format with detailed biodata and relevant documents from prospective candidates will be received around the year and the students selected by a selection committee will be informed accordingly by e-mail.
9) Regional Centre for Biotechnology, Faridabad
RCB invites applications for their 6-months summer training programme without stipend. Students from 4-year courses/PG in Sciences are invited to carry out their project work which will count towards the partial fulfillment of their degree. The project work can be extended to 1-year of duration depending on vacancies available.

10) International Center for Stem Cells, Cancer and Biotechnology (ICSCCB), Pune
Current students in their final semester for dissertation project (Bachelors/Masters) can apply. The dissertation will cover broad Topics: Proliferation and differentiation of myeloid cells and Regulation of myeloid transcription factors and other proteins in hematopoiesis and their dysregulation in leukemic cancers.
