Eligibility Criteria 2019
Candidates applying for EFLU 2019 admission
will have to fulfil the below-mentioned eligibility criteria for the programmes
of their choice. Listed below is the eligibility criteria for both UG and PG
candidates.
EFLU Eligibility for B.A.
Courses
Candidates appearing for admission to EFLU
2019 for B.A courses should have:
·
Passed in
10+2/intermediate exam or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% (General/OBC)
and 45% (SC/ST).
·
The aggregate must
include the subject English.
·
Candidates who are yet to
appear for the qualifying exam must pass the exam by the admission time and
scored the minimum percentage.
·
For B.Ed in English,
candidates must have scored 50% marks (General/OBC) and 45% (SC/ST) as minimum
aggregate in B.A. English or the same percentages for respective categories in
M.A. English. Again, candidates yet to sit for the qualifying exam are subject
to the aforementioned criteria for such candidates.
EFLU Eligibility for M.A.
Courses
Candidates appearing for EFLU admission 2019
for M.A. courses should have:

A bachelor’s degree with
55% (General/OBC) and 50% (SC/ST) as minimum aggregate.
·
Candidates who still have
to appear for the qualifying examination must pass the exam by the time of
admission with the minimum aggregate.
·
For courses in Arabic,
French, German, Russian, Hispanic language and literature, candidates must have
obtained a bachelor’s degree in the respective language or bachelor’s degree in
any discipline with a B1 level proficiency certificate equal to an advanced
diploma in that language.
·
For PGDTE English,
candidates must have passed M.A. English/English Literature/TESL/ELT/Linguistics
with 55% (General/OBC) and 50% (SC/ST) as minimum aggregate. Candidates yet to
appear for the qualifying examination have to refer to aforementioned criteria
applicable on such candidates.
·
For PGDTA, candidates
must have scored 55% (General/OBC) and 50% (SC/ST) in M.A. Arabic/Arabic
Literature/Teaching of Arabic/Linguistics. Candidates who are appearing for the
qualifying exam may go through the aforementioned requirements for such
candidates.

EFLU 2019 application form for both UG and PG
courses will be released online on February 7, 2019 from 7 P.M onwards.
Candidates should make sure that they fill the application form by February 26,
2019. It is mandatory for candidates willing to apply for EFLU 2019 admission
to fill the application form. In order to fill EFLU 2019 application form,
candidates will have to first register themselves with EFLU with a valid email
ID. Upon registration, candidates will receive a password on their email ID.
Candidates must retain their username and password till the time of admission
for further references. Applicants should enter correct details on the
application form of EFLU 2019 and not leave any field blank. Candidates will
also be required to upload requisite documents to complete their application
form.The mode of application fee for admission to EFLU 2019 is online and can
be conducted through net banking/credit/debit card.

Exam Centres 2019
The exam centres for EFLU admission test 2019
will be located in over 23 cities across India. Candidates will have to select
EFLU 2019 exam centres of their own choice while filling the application form.
EFLU 2019 admission candidates will be able to find the exam centre allotted to
them on the admit card for EFLU 2019. Candidates are not allowed to file any
requests for change in the exam centres allotted. Candidates must make a note
of the fact that the university can cancel any of the any exam centres without
specifying any reason. In that case, the candidate will be allotted the exam
centre closest to the one previously selected by him/her on the application
form.
Candidates appearing for the admission test
are strictly advised to reach the exam centres of EFLU 2019 at least forty
minutes before the time exam is scheduled to start. They must note that they
will not be allowed to enter the exam hall even a minute after the commencement
of exam. Possession of mobile phones or tablets in exam centres is strictly
prohibited by the university.

EFLU 2019 admit card will be issued after the
completion of the application process. Candidates can download the admit card
of EFLU 2019 by clicking on the official link and entering the same username
and password. Candidates must remember to download the admit card and take its
print out. EFLU 2019 admit card will mention vital details about the candidate
like his/her name, roll number, exam centre, and so on. It is mandatory for
candidates to carry their admit card to sit for entrance test.
The test for admission to EFLU 2019 will be a
computer-based. As per EFLU 2019 exam pattern, the paper will be of 100 marks
in total. Certain exams will have two sections, namely, objective and
descriptive. Candidates in such exams can attempt the paper only in this order
within two hours, one hour each for both the parts. A crisp breakdown of exam
pattern of EFLU 2019 is given below for all UG and PG courses which the
candidates can quickly refer to.

For B.A. (hons.) in
English, Arabic, French, German, Japanese, Russian, Spanish and B.ed in English
- the question paper will be of objective type and of 100 marks.
·
For M.A. courses in
English, English Literature, Literatures in English, Comparative Literature,
Linguistics, English Language Teaching, Hindi, computational linguistics, the
paper will be of objective type and 100 questions.
·
For M.A. courses in
Arabic language and literature, French language and literature, German language
and literature, Hispanic language and literature, Russian language and
literature, there will be three sections - a. Objective type (40 marks) b. Pen
and paper (descriptive) - 30 marks c. Oral (30 marks).
·
For PGDTE in English and
PGDTA in Arabic, the paper will be objective type and of 100 marks.
English and Foreign Languages University will
release EFLU 2019 result in May 2019. The result of EFLU 2019 will be announced
in online mode. Candidates taking the test for EFLU admission 2019 will find
their names, roll numbers, and marks scored in the result. Those who fulfil the
cut off requirements and are shortlisted by the university for their UG and PG
programmes will be called for a counselling and interview round in June 2019.
EFLU 2019 cut off specifies the minimum marks
that candidates must score in EFLU 2019 admission test. Those candidates who
match the cut off for EFLU 2019 will be called for a counselling and interview
round. The break up of cut off requirements for each category is as follows:
