What is NCHMCT JEE?
National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology Joint Entrance Examination or NCHMCT JEE (also known as NHCM JEE) is a national-level entrance exam conducted to offer admission to aspirants in hospitality and hotel administration programmes. Till 2018, National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHM & CT), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, conducted NCHMCT JEE exam. However, from 2019 onwards, NTA will conduct NCHM JEE exam.  

NCHMCT JEE 2020 Application Form Released
NCHMCT JEE application form has been released by National Testing Agency (NTA) today, January 1, 2020. Candidates need to fill NCHMCT JEE 2020 application form on the official website of the hospitality entrance exam. Aspirants need to complete the application process for NCHMCT JEE admissions latest by February 29, 2020.
NCHMCT JEE 2020 is means the through which candidates can secure admission in hotel management programmes offered at Institutes of Hotel Management (IHMs) and other colleges accepting NCHMCT JEE 2020 scores for admission.

NCHMCT JEE 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates meet the eligibility criteria for NCHMCT JEE if they have completed their 10+2 from a recognised board with passing marks. The age limit criteria that aspirants need to fulfill for this hotel management entrance exam is mentioned in the table below:

General and OBC Categories

The upper age limit for candidates from this category is 25 years as on July 1, 2020. Candidates born on or after July 1, 1994 are eligible to apply for NCHMCT.
SC/ST categories

The upper age limit for candidates is 28 years as on July 1, 2020. SC/ST candidates born on or after July 1, 1991 are eligible to apply for NCHMCT.
Physically Challenged

The upper age limit for Physically Challenged candidates shall be reckoned as per the category he/she belongs to, that is, General/SC/ST/OBC.

NCHMCT JEE 2020 Admission Process

Admission through NCHMCT JEE will strictly be on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the All India JEE (Written Test). Based on marks scored by a candidate in NCHMCT JEE, he/she will be allotted an All India Rank (AIR). No group discussion or personal interview round is conducted for shortlisting candidates. So, admission is offered only on the basis of NCHMCT JEE merit and rank.
Step 1: Apply for NCHMCT JEE 2020
NCHMCT JEE 2020 application form is available online on the official website of National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT). Candidates can submit their application form for NCHMCT JEE exam either online or by hand. 
Step 2: Download NCHMCT JEE Admit Card
Candidates can download their admit cards from the official website of NCHMCT JEE 2020 from April 2020 onwards. One copy of NCHMCT JEE Admit Card, which is duly attested by Gazetted Officer/Head of Institution last attended/Bank Manager of scheduled Bank/Area Post Master, has to be deposited with the invigilator for his/her signature. The admit card needs to be preserved by the candidate and produced at the time of counselling, whereas, the second copy of the admit card is to be deposited at the examination centre.
Step 3: Appear for NCHMCT JEE Exam
Candidates need to appear for the NCHMCT JEE exam as per the schedule and exam centre mentioned on their admit card. NCHMCT JEE 2020 is a three hour duration exam which consists of questions from five subjects which are- Numerical Ability and Analytical Aptitude, Reasoning and Logical Deduction, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, English Language and Aptitude for Service Sector.
Step 4: Check NCHMCT JEE Result
Aspirants need to check their results for the written entrance exam on the official website of NCHMCT JEE. Candidates can check their results by filling in their roll number and date of birth.
Step 5:  Appear for NCHMCT JEE Counselling
At the time of counselling, the eligibility of candidates for admission is checked and their documents are verified. The NCHMCT JEE 2020 counselling fee is Rs 1,000. Apart from this, candidates are asked to pay their counselling as well as first semester fee. At the time of NCHMCT JEE Counselling, candidates need to mention their college preference for admission on the basis of their AIR. The allotment of college through counselling will be done on the basis of merit (AIR) and choice (of institute) exercised by the candidate.

NCHMCT JEE 2020 test centres have not been declared yet. For reference purpose aspirants can view the test centres for the hotel management exam conducted last year. The official website of NCHMCT JEE informs: "Change of Written Test Centre within a city will not be considered. Under exceptional circumstances, change of centre may be permitted if an application with valid reasons for the change of centre is received in the JEE Cell on or before the last date along with non-refundable fees of Rs.1000/- through Demand Draft drawn in favour of NCHMCT, payable at Delhi/NOIDA. The National Council for Hotel Management reserves the right to reject such request in case the test centre is not in a position to accommodate any extra candidate".

NCHMCT JEE Exam Day Guidelines

Candidates appearing for the hospitality entrance exam must read the exam day instructions mentioned on the admit card carefully. Candidates should also know what to and what not to carry to the test centre on the day of the exam.
What to carry on NCHMCT JEE exam day?
Although NCHMCT JEE is an online exam, candidates are advised to carry a pen and pencil to the exam centre. Apart from this, candidate are also advised to carry the documents mentioned below:
  • Admit card: NCHMCT JEE admit card is a very important document to be carried to the test centre.
  • ID proof: Candidates must carry an original photo ID proof such as Aadhaar Card/ PAN Card/ Passport/ Driving License/ Voter ID to the test centre.  
  • Photo: Candidates should carry at least one passport size photograph to the exam centre. It is advisable to carry the photograph used at the time of filling NCHMCT JEE application form.
What not to carry on NCHMCT JEE exam day?
Candidates should not carry any paper other than the admit card and ID proof inside the exam hall. Also, electronic devices such as mobile phones, calculators, digital/ smart watches or tablets are not allowed inside the NCHMCT JEE examination hall.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted NCHMCT JEE 2019 on April 27 from 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM. A three-hour duration test, the paper was conducted in online mode in 49 cities across the country. NCHMCT JEE 2020 Student Reaction

NCHMCT JEE 2019 was conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for the first time on April 27 from 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM. The exam was conducted in a total of 49 test cities across the country.
