INSPIRE Science Camp for Plus One Students

The Central University of Kerala, Kasargod is organizing a five day residential camp INSPIRE(Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research) from 22nd to 27th December 2018. This programme is being implemented by the Department of Science and Technology, India. It aims at strengthening the knowledge of the talented students and expanding their horizon in science research. Also it intends to nurture the young talents who have inquisitiveness for research and are budding geniuses in Science and Technology. Thus it paves way for the empowerment of scientific sector of our country. 

This camp provides an excellent opportunity for science aspirants to commune with the renowned scientists, visit research laboratories and to participate in the seminars and lectures. Moreover all the expenses from the journey to food and accommodation will be met by the College.

Who and How should apply?

This residential camp is for the Plus one students from Kerala who pursue science subject in their Higher secondary course and not attended such camps earlier. 150 students will be selected from the top 1% students in Kerala(For Kerala State board SSLC-94.6%, CBSE CGPA-A1,ICSE-95%). Interested students who meet the eligibility criteria may register their interest for participation by writing an e-mail(attach registration form) to cukinspire@gmail.com , so that additional details concerning how you may participate can be provided or contact at the following address.The last date for receiving applications by online is 03.11.2018.

Higher Secondary Merit Scholarship for BPL Students

Higher Secondary Merit Scholarship for BPL Students

First year higher secondary students can apply for BPL scholarship now. The scholarship amount would be Rs 5000 per annum. Selection will be completely based on marks. The BPL category students studying in Higher Secondary first year can submit their application. Once they qualify for the scholarship, they would be eligible to get the same in the second year too. But the students should have secured minimum. D+ grade in all subjects in their annual exam.

Scholarship Category

The scholarship is allotted in 3 categories.

1. General category

2. SC/ST community

3. Sports/Arts/Differently abled category

Selection Committee
A selection committee should be formed at the school level to find out the deserving students. The school level selection committee consists of following members -

1. Principal(Chairperson).

2. Headmaster/Headmistress of the school

3. PTA President

4. Staff Secretary

5. A representative of the teaching staff

One of the members shall be a woman.
